Intuitive archive and backup software

Bitser is a free windows app for managing archives and backups similar to Winzip, 7zip and Winrar but with an alternate user interface. Bitser's interface is built around the file system with explorer style views and features similar to those found in backup applications.

All underlying archiving functions are performed using the open source 7-zip compression software and therefore all major archiving formats are supported. In addition, Bitser also includes a password manager as well as a MD5/SHA checksum calculator that will help you check file integrity.
Whats new in version 1.4.0.0:
• Added - Prevent Windows from hibernating if backup or other task hasnt finished.
• Added - Automatically detect regional settings during installation and set language if available.
• Bug Fix - Installing Bitser on computer with non-english adminstrators group name failed.
• Bug Fix - Installing Bitser on non-english computer could return error codes instead of messages.
