Document Version Control System Document Version Control System implements version numbering, file locks and group alerts.
Document Version Control System implements version numbering, file locks and group alerts. The files are stored in a MySQL database (the SQL file to create the relevant tables is included). Files can be viewed, and checked out by users. Once a file is checked out only the user that checked it out can either release the lock or check it back in so there are no problems with users overwriting each others changes. When a file is checked back in the user has the option to increment the minor or major version number of that file. When files are added or updated an email is sent to all the other users to inform them of the changes.Document Version Control System script 2.01 details and screenshot
