This demo shows a video sequence with motion detection applied independently to each of the four quadrants of the video; if motion in a quadrant is detected, that quadrant is highlighted with a red color as the video plays. Each quadrant is independent (hence 4 separate SAD metrics are being computed).Note that the difference image itself may be viewed, in place of the original intensity image, along with the red motion highlighting. This gives an idea of how the SAD metric works.3: Surveillance video compressionDemonstrates a basic surveillance camera data-compression application. Only enables recording of video frames in which motion estimates rise above a threshold. In effect, it only records "scene changes."
