WinCache Extension for PHP 1.3.6.0 script details WinCache is basically a PHP caching extension for IIS, just like APC (Alternative PHP Cache) is for Apache.
WinCache is different because it focuses on optimizing cache management on Windows OSs only, making sure PHP bytecode is executed as fsater as possible.
To do this, WinCache can store PHP bytecode in the OS' memory and execute it from there, instead of acquiring from a disk.
This is much faster, and indirectly makes the server compile code much faster as well.
