Berean Bible 2.40 Publisher Review:
Simplified Bible freeware that includes the complete English Standard Version (?2001 GNP) and New King James Version (?1982 Thomas Nelson). The learning curve is all but trivial because only the essential functions are implemented.
Word/phrase searching is extremely fast, intuitive, and very flexible to find what you are looking for. On most computers, it is running immediately after you launch it, and searching is as fast as you can type.
The small StarterKit download includes the program, ESV and NKJV Bibles, and extensive Help and documentation. BerBible works great on old computers that are too slow for software oriented to scholars. It does not assume a high res monitor and latest hardware. Its small download is optimized for people with a slow, unreliable, or expensive Internet connection.
Pocket-PC version available. Very fast.
